Balcony Solar Kits You Can Buy in the US (2026)

Which plug-in solar kits US shoppers can actually order, what they cost, and which big brands we found no US sale for.

The short answer

As of October 2026, US shoppers can order balcony solar from CraftStrom ($2,031 for 800 W), APsystems (EZ1 microinverter, $325) and Bright Saver (from $285.30 for members). EcoFlow's STREAM line is sold out or on pre-order. We found no US sale of Anker SOLIX, Zendure, Bluetti Balco or Jackery plug-in kits.

The US market is small and moving fast. Prices below were checked in October 2026, and stock is limited. We list what each maker claims. We do not call any kit UL 3700 certified, because we have not seen a listing.

What is the EcoFlow STREAM?

The STREAM microinverter is $369 on its own, or $799 in a bundle with 400 W panels (checked October 2026). It is 1,200 W, 120 V, with no battery. The page shows it as pre-order and sold out. It lists UL 1741 and anti-islanding, not UL 3700, which is in progress. The page is also unclear on which states it ships to, naming Utah, then Maryland, Connecticut and Colorado. Check before you order.

What is the EcoFlow STREAM Ultra?

It is a battery system. The Ultra is $1,399, or $1,599 with the microinverter, though the page also shows a conflicting $1,279 member price. It was out of stock with a restock date of March 2027. The battery is 1.92 kWh, expandable to 11.52 kWh. Output is 800 W alone or 1,200 W with the microinverter. A battery adds cost, and we have not run payback for batteries.

What is the CraftStrom 800 W kit?

CraftStrom sells a complete kit for $2,031 from Houston, Texas. It has four 200 W panels, two 400 W inverters and a smart meter. A 1 kWh or 2 kWh battery is sold separately. The maker says it is UL 3700 compliant. A tracker lists its certification as in progress. The price is high, so see what payback looks like.

What is the APsystems EZ1?

The EZ1 is a microinverter, not a full kit. It is $325 from the APsystems US shop, with 900 VA maximum output. The maker says it is CSA certified to UL 3700. You must add panels. We did not find a sourced panel price, so we cannot give a full kit cost.

What are Bright Saver kits?

Bright Saver is a non-profit. Its kits use a Hoymiles microinverter. Members ($29 a year) paid $285.30 for 180 W and $414.17 for 360 W. Non-members paid $499 and $699. Those prices are from July 2026, so check the site. It ships nationwide except Maine, New York and Vermont. The UL 3700 claim covers the microinverter only.

Which famous brands are not sold in the US?

As of October 2026, we found no US sale of Anker SOLIX balcony products, Zendure SolarFlow or Bluetti Balco. Jackery's plug-in grid-tied products are not sold here either, and its US line is off-grid power stations. Some of these claims come from secondary sources. Do not import a European kit. It is built for a different grid, and UL 3700 is about US products.

The quick version

Common questions

What is the cheapest balcony solar kit in the US?

Of the ones we checked, Bright Saver's 180 W kit at $285.30 for members, or $499 for non-members, as of July 2026. The APsystems EZ1 microinverter is $325 but needs panels added.

Can I buy Anker SOLIX balcony solar in the US?

Not as of October 2026. It is sold in Europe. North America was described as later, with no date. That comes from secondary sources, so check Anker's own site.

Can I use a European kit in the US?

We do not recommend it. European kits are made for a different grid and rules, and the US safety test, UL 3700, is for US products. Buy a kit sold and supported in the US.

Is the EcoFlow STREAM available?

Barely. The microinverter is pre-order and sold out, and the STREAM Ultra shows a March 2027 restock, as of 21 October 2026. EcoFlow's pages are unclear on which states it ships to.

Is any of this worth buying?

The cheap kits can be, in a sunny, high-price state with a good mount. The $2,031 kit takes years to pay back in lower-price states. Run your own numbers in the [savings guide](/us/balcony-solar-savings).
